Automotive
Components made of glass, plastics and composites
Component quality, process reliability and cost-effective series production are key requirements in the automotive industry. BBG develops and implements production solutions for demanding components made of glass, polyurethane, plastics and composite materials.
One key focus is the finishing and functionalization of automotive glass with polyurethane. Our tooling and production systems are used for a wide range of vehicle glazing applications, including large panoramic glass panels, glass roof systems and functional glass elements. Fastening elements, reinforcements, sensors and electrical components can be integrated directly into the component during production.
Another important area of application is lightweight and composite components for vehicle interiors and exteriors. BBG develops tools for sandwich-structured load floors and interior trim components as well as for exterior components made of fiber-reinforced plastics such as CFRP and GFRP.
Our portfolio ranges from tooling and mold carrier systems to PUR metering technology and automation as well as complete production systems. Integrated process monitoring and data acquisition support stable production processes, traceability and reproducible component quality.

Aviation & Defense
Lightweight construction, process reliability and reproducible quality are key requirements in aviation and defense. BBG develops and implements production solutions for demanding components made of composites, plastics and hybrid lightweight materials.
Our portfolio ranges from tooling, mold carrier and press systems to automation solutions and complete production systems for the manufacture of structural and interior components, sandwich structures, and components for manned and unmanned aircraft systems. We support our customers from the development and testing of initial components through pre-series production to industrial manufacturing.
With process expertise, customized production equipment, integrated process monitoring and data acquisition, we create solutions for stable processes, efficient production, traceability and reproducible quality.
For large and complex components, we complement our portfolio with CNC large-part machining and 5-axis milling. We manufacture machined single parts and small series from steel and non-ferrous metals with complex geometries and large dimensions.

Thermal Technology
High-performance thermal insulation and cost-effective production processes are key requirements in thermal technology. BBG develops and implements tooling and production solutions for the PUR insulation of hot water storage tanks and other thermal components.
Our foaming tools are tailored to the component geometry, insulation thickness, connections and equipment variants. For applications with a high number of variants, we also develop flexible universal tools that allow different storage tank sizes and model variants to be produced using the same tooling base.
From individual foaming tools and control and handling technology to automated production systems, we develop solutions for stable production processes, short changeover times and reproducible quality.
For applications with specific explosion protection requirements, we incorporate them into the design of the tooling and production equipment from the outset.

Medical & Laboratory Technology
Reliable temperature control plays a key role in many medical and laboratory applications. BBG develops production solutions for thermally insulated components that reliably protect temperature-sensitive products and processes.
Applications include robust, large-volume transport containers for temperature-sensitive medical products as well as insulated components for laboratory and medical equipment. Component geometry, the required insulation performance and the range of variants are taken into account from the initial design stage of the tooling and production process.
Our experience in processing rigid polyurethane foam enables us to develop customized solutions ranging from individual foaming tools to automated production stations.

Photovoltaics
The integration of photovoltaics opens up new possibilities for using surfaces on vehicles, ships and buildings to generate energy. BBG develops tooling and production solutions for integrated photovoltaic applications.
Polyurethane makes it possible to functionally integrate photovoltaic modules of different sizes and geometries into components. Fastening elements and other components can be incorporated directly into the production process. This results in robust components with a high degree of design flexibility and precise integration into the respective application.
BBG supports design for manufacturing, develops the required tooling and accompanies new applications from initial components and testing through to small-series production.
